Mama Helen Teni Children Prayers

James 1:27
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
True religion involves caring for the vulnerable and maintaining personal purity.
Psalms 68:5
“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
God is portrayed as a protector and caretaker of those who lack earthly support.
Psalms 82:3
“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.”
God commands justice for the vulnerable and marginalized in society.
Isaiah 1:17
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”
A call to pursue justice and actively support those who are disadvantaged.
Psalms 146:9
“The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.”
God cares for the marginalized and opposes those who do wrong.
Isaiah 58:7
“Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?”
True fasting and worship involve actively helping those in need.
Exodus 22:22
“Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless.”
God’s law commands protection and fair treatment of vulnerable groups.

Psalms 10:18

God ensures justice for the oppressed, removing fear from their lives.

Statement of Faith

We believe:
1. The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant and
infallible Word of God, and the final authority for faith and life.
2. There is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Spirit: the Trinity.
3. Human beings were created by God in His image, and the sin of Adam (the first
man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and human beings.
Every person is born sinful.
4. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was fully God from eternity. Through His
incarnation he became fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of
the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect, righteous and sinless life in obedience to God
the Father. He was put to death physically by crucifixion, and His body was buried
in a tomb. After three days He was physically raised from the dead and appeared to
many. Forty days later, He ascended into heaven and is now seated in glory at the
right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for His people.
5. The only way a person can have a true relationship with God is through the sacrifice
of Jesus Christ on the cross. All those who repent from their sins and put their faith
in Him are born anew by the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life and become
children of God. God offers eternal life as a free gift, and it must be received by
faith alone through God’s grace. The life that comes from this gift is the permanent
possession of the one receiving it.
6. It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and
sanctified wholly, separated from sin and worldliness, and fully dedicated to the will
of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a
crisis and a progressive experience in the life of the believer subsequent to
conversion.
7. The Lord Jesus will return physically to this earth to judge the living and the dead.
There will be a bodily resurrection of both believers in Him and of unbelievers. The
Second Coming of Jesus is the believer’s blessed hope and an incentive to holy
living and faithful service.
8. The Church consists of all those who have put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
have been redeemed through His blood and have been born again by the Holy
Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to
go into all the world and bring the gospel to all nations. The local church is a body
of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, and to be
strengthened in their faith by being taught the Bible, which is the Word of God.
Church services are also for prayer and fellowship, to proclaim the Gospel and to
observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Believer’s baptism and
the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church found in the Scriptures.
9. Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of
the body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and
are a privilege for the church in the present age.

Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

The Message Matthew 25:35-40
And here’s why: I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was homeless and you gave me a room,  I was shivering and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you stopped to visit, I was in prison and you came to me.’  “Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?  And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’    Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me – you did it to me.
